How Is Eloralintide Studied?
Eloralintide is a long-acting, selective agonist of the amylin type 1 receptor. A methylene thioacetal bridge replaces amylin’s native disulfide bond for stability, and a fatty diacid side chain extends its half-life. Preclinical studies have examined its receptor selectivity, making it a research tool for studying AMY1 receptor signaling separately from broader amylin and calcitonin receptor activity.
Storage
Store the sealed vial at −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C short-term, away from light. Once reconstituted in the lab, keep at 2–8 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. See our storage guide.
FAQ
How is the amylin pathway different from GLP compounds?
Amylin agonists act on calcitonin-family receptors, not incretin receptors. See GLP research compounds compared for how eloralintide fits alongside GLP-1(S), GLP-2(T) and GLP-3(R).
