How Is KPV Studied?
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Studies have examined its signaling activity independent of classical melanocortin receptor binding, including NF-κB pathway modulation and cytokine activity in intestinal epithelial cell models, making it a research tool for studying inflammatory signaling.
