How Is 5-Amino-1MQ Studied?
5-Amino-1MQ is a cell-permeable inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), the enzyme that methylates nicotinamide and diverts it away from the NAD+ salvage pathway. Studies have examined its effects on intracellular NAD+ and S-adenosylmethionine levels in adipocyte cell models.
Storage
Store the sealed vial at −20 °C long-term or 2–8 °C short-term, away from light. Once reconstituted in the lab, keep at 2–8 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. See our storage guide.
